Christmas in Turin: markets, lights and New Year's Eve
From late November to Epiphany the centre of Turin lights up: light installations, markets and concerts, all within walking distance of Portico Garibaldi.
Don't miss
- Luci d’Artista: light works by contemporary artists in the streets and squares of the centre, from autumn to January. Many are along the walks between via Garibaldi, Piazza Castello and via Po.
- Christmas village in piazza Solferino: stalls with decorations, gifts and local specialities, about 5 minutes on foot. In 2025 it was open from 5 December to 6 January.
- New Year's Eve in the square: the city celebrates with concerts and outdoor events.
- Historic cafés and chocolate: a bicerin at Caffè Al Bicerin or a hot chocolate under the arcades of piazza San Carlo.
The 2026 dates of markets and events have not all been announced yet: check Turismo Torino (turismotorino.org) and the City of Turin website before you travel.
